About our programme
Regrow Borneo’s Student Support Program is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of environmental researchers and practitioners. Through this initiative, we sponsor promising PhD students working on critical topics related to forest restoration and conservation.
Our program offers financial support, research resources, and practical experience, allowing students to focus on impactful research projects. Sponsored students gain access to fieldwork opportunities, academic mentorship, and involvement in ongoing conservation projects. This support not only advances their academic careers but also contributes to our mission of developing effective reforestation strategies and understanding their broader ecological and social impacts.
Featured Student
Regrow Borneo is proud to sponsor PhD student Amaziasizamora Jumail, who is also a Research Officer at the Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC).
Since joining DGFC in 2014 as a Field Assistant, Maz has advanced to manage the Regrow Borneo project while pursuing a PhD at Cardiff University on a fully-funded scholarship. Her research focuses on assessing the impacts of forest restoration on forest structure, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
Our Student Support Program reflects our commitment to advancing knowledge and supporting the next generation of environmental champions.
